When you plug in your lamp, ask Clapper to turn on your lights. You don't even need a native app from GE to install the light, you can just go right to Google Home. Once it's all set up, you have full remote control of the lights, and can equally control the bulb with voice using Google Home or Android devices. I am constantly getting "oops something weren't wrong" error especially with smart speakers that have Chromecast built in (including Google's own nest speakers). Volume control can only be changed 2% at a time which can be very inconvenient. My devices also intermittently disconnect so I have to re-pair with TVs, defeating the purpose of being able to access remotely from my phone. I wanted to give 2 stars but there are good features that i haven't mentioned.

We also have a Hue Gradient Lightstrip on the back of our TV, connected to a Hue Play HDMI Sync box. All our consoles and TV devices are connected to that, so whatever is on-screen is passed through the Hue box so the light strip can match it. This is hands down our favourite Hue feature.

Make sure that your speaker or display, and Philips Hue bridge are on the same Wi-Fi network and connected to the same router. Other devices near your speaker or display, or C by GE bulbs, might cause interference. If you have a nearby Wi-Fi router, cordless phone, microwave or Bluetooth speaker, move it further away if you can.
Google Home can control smart lights, smart plugs, smart switches, and most connected home devices. Smart switches are a great option for hard-to-reach lights or those that are outside of wireless range. ‘Hey Google, set lights to candlelight’ – To change your tunable white bulbs to sleep color. Make sure that your light bulbs are linked in the Google Home app.
